Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8885 is part of the national Veterans of Foreign Wars organization and operates under the same charter.
We hold monthly meetings in the evening.
Our purpose is to promote all veterans causes and assist worthy comrades through our donations of both time and money.
One of our most important events is providing a Bingo party each month at the Veterans Nursing Home located in Menlo Park, NJ. We are well received there by the residents and we also distribute to them wheel-chair Lap Robes, which have been made and donated to us by many Greenbriar residents.
Once a year we hold our Poppy sales drive to provide us with the funds to make all these charitable donations to various veteran organizations, such as Wounded Warriors; Fisher House; USO; and many other smaller groups who assist our veterans.
We are always looking for eligible veterans here in Greenbriar Woodlands to join our ranks.
